Why use PickupZone?

No more depot lines. No more yellow slips and missed deliveries. With PickupZone all your packages will be dropped off on the first attempt, signed for and secured on sight. Package storage and pickup is fast, secure and convenient.

What can I ship to a PickupZone Pickup Point? What are the package restrictions?

You can ship anything as long it is less than 60 inches (length + width +height), less than 30 lbs and is not considered a prohibited good. Just be smart about what you ship…no animals, perishables, or fragile items (without proper packing). We have the right to refuse a package that doesn’t meet these terms..so don’t order a couch or a canoe. Seriously, due to size and weight restrictions we can’t accept things like larger TVs, big mirrors, and other furniture. Shipments to Walgreen stores containing alcohol, tobacco, or any other age restricted items are strictly prohibited.

Are my packages safe and secure?

Yes. We track all packages in our system from Pickup Point drop off to pick up. For your safety, every user is issued a unique Package ID to send packages and a separate Pickup Code to retrieve packages. This is set up so that only you can get your package. In addition, we stand by every package and insure it for loss or damage.

What does the service cost?

The cost to use PickupZone depends on where you live. In Boston and New York it is FREE to use the service at all PickupZone locations. In our Chicago locations, the first package is free then additional packages cost 99¢. You will pay at the store when you pickup your package. As we expand, we will be launching additional services and locations. If we ever do change our pricing, you will be clearly notified and given at least two weeks notice.

How does PickupZone Insurance work?

For your package safety and your peace of mind we insure every package for up to $2000 against loss or damage. From the moment a package is dropped off at a PickupZone Pickup Point, we will stand by it. If you order something from an online retailer or catalog and it is lost at a Pickup Point, we will pay you your purchase price and shipping costs up to $2000. For all other packages (ie, person to person) we will reimburse you up to the value the package was insured for by the shipping carrier. If your item is damaged and we are at fault, we will pay for repair or replacement up to $2000 based on purchase cost or insured cost as stated above. We are not responsible for loss or damage prior to drop off.

What is my Package ID?

Upon registration you are issued a unique Package ID for each Pickup Point location you choose. The Package ID allows us to track your packages and notify you of their arrival. The Package ID and Pickup Code act as security measures as well, so only you can pick up your packages. You should place your Package ID after your last name on every package.

How long will a Pickup Point hold my package?

All packages are held at the local Pickup Point for 10 days from the 1st e-mail notification we send you.

What happens to my package after 10 days?

PickupZone reserves the right to return your package to the sender after this period. However, our objective is to get your package into your hands. We will repeatedly notify you, including contacting you via phone to ensure that you are aware you have a package ready for pick-up.
If you know that you are going to be out of town and unable to pick up your package within the allotted time period, we may provide you with an opportunity to extend the hold period for an additional 10 days - additional charges may apply.

What is my Pickup Code and where do I find it?

The Pickup Code, appearing as a barcode on your notification email and Pickup Card, is used as a security measure so that only you can pick up your packages. You cannot pick up a package without a Pickup Code. For your convenience you should print out your PickupZone Pickup Card on the Pickup Packages page or your Pickup notification email and bring it to the Pickup Point when you retrieve your package.

What if I am missing a package?

Contact PickupZone at service@pickupzone.com and we will investigate.

How many packages can I send to a PickupZone Pickup Point?

You can send as many packages as you want, as long as they meet the PickupZone restrictions (see above). At the same time, we ask that you promptly pick up your packages when you receive the pick up notification e-mail.

How do I track my package?

Until you receive a pick-up notification from PickupZone, you can track your package using the shipping tracking number provided by your online retailer or shipper. Once your package has been received by PickupZone, you can click on Pickup Packages to view a list of your pending packages for pick up, including their reception date. We will also show you your past pickups.

I bought my item several weeks ago and haven't been notified by PickupZone?

Use the Pickup Packages page at PickupZone.com to view your package history and see if your package is listed and is awaiting pick up. If so, print your Pickup Card or your e-mail notification and present it at the Pickup Point to receive your package.
