Since shipping carriers aggregate multiple shipments to one Pickup Point they reduce miles driven in a neighborhood, time sitting in traffic and time idling while running to and from buildings. In addition, every package is dropped off on its first attempt - packages are no longer being driven back and forth from the depot. In fact, 50% of all packages require multiple delivery attempts.
